There was some good discussion in the thread on /v/ before it slid off, luckily I've saved caps and the archive (though archive appears to be down at the moment). We were in the midst of discussing:
>Whether virtual divegrass should remain as the official sport of the Cup
>Possible replacement sports should that answer be no
>How to manage the fact that there were literal dead boards competing in 8Cup 4
>The difference between a dead board and a small board
>Bringing back live commentary
And more. So discuss.
I also made these when I was bored. They might work as part of the logo moving forward.
Just wanted to bring a point up regardless of if we choose to change sports, or any other major changes really. If for whatever reason the 5th cup is yet another disaster on par with the 4th cup, then the 6th cup should not happen at all. However, if the 5th cup is successful then I would suggest delaying the 6th cup until summer 2020. Mostly to make up for the lack of manpower.
Anyway to get on topic I think the common consensus is to change to a different sport, but there should be some sort of way to reach out to all of the various boards to make sure that most anons would be willing to do so. Assuming that we do change, I'd vouch for negroball since it appears to have the least amount of difficulty setting up for at the cost of possibly alienating most euro anons.
In regards to dead boards, I'd say go with what whoever suggested what was mentioned in the second image, but the number of posts needed to qualify might need to be lowered. Otherwise you prevent active boards like /bmn/ from showing up even though the board itself is active.
Finally, for live commentators I'm half tempted to say make an audition thread for who should commentate, but otherwise I'd say that the likelihood of doing it is extremely low. For now just keep it as the lowest priority, even though the 8chanmania style commentary of text boxes doesn't really suit the cup.
The sport needs to be intense and negroball is only as intense as the understanding of the people watching it; because of team dynamics and court sizes you're watching balls swish and dribble in roughly the same place an awful lot, while divegrass was a good fit because you could get some crazy kicks and really obvious movement.
Alternatives that would make more sense to me:
>A sufficiently dynamic racing sim.
A racing sim that has interesting tracks with mixed straight-away and turns and modifiable cars (decals & stats) would provide a good viewing experience; Nascar wouldn't especially. Rocket League is an interesting hybrid option; some people have apparently begun using it for tournaments because you can program your own AI and it has good decal/mod support.
You can see more details in D6.png >>2987
Every match in tennis is interpersonal so the individual character and design of the players is more obvious, helping to counterbalance the limited play space/action. Can be super tense due to scoring system; requires less effort or helps centralize effort to more important areas.
Hockey is an inherently violent and fun to watch sport, but I'm not aware of any good sims.
The most viable outlet is Besiege but it would require drivers. I think you can host a server and play without a Steam copy, but I'm not too sure. There might be a couple other games out there for this.
I'll look into bot AI modding and see what I can turn up for any other form of modding for Rocket League. I do know that player made maps are able to be imported via Workshop, so meme stadiums could be made and easily imported.
Ok wewlad here
Ok in terms of what I have planned is that next cup will be a double header with a baby cup followed immediately by 8chan cup 5
In order to sorta make sure dead boards aren't in the main cup the baby cup will be seeded into pools based upon how active a board is
Though if you make a team with shit like custom faces you will be bumped up a their or so
The reason I'm doing this is most of the dead boards that were in 8chan cup 4 with the passable exception of /genesis/, /todd/ and /unna/ didn't make it past the group stage
Honestly having a few dead boards in is fine as even cuckchans does it with teams like /3/ and /gd/ often fan favorites there despite bring dead
And yes with me stating there is a baby cup means there will indeed be recruitment
Teams I honestly want to see in are /n/, /tech/ and sportschan/sp/ but any team is allowed in, which yes means /leftypol/ and if Hispachan wants a board in to replace /hisparefugio/ then I'll be happy with that
8chan cup 6 will be in July 2020 after the 3rd season of 8chanmania
While the baby cup for 6 will be the same time as this one
In terms of live commentary what I was thinking is still keep the text as well but more for game updates since twitch likes cutting off sound
Also for 8chan cup 5 at least I'm not changing sports
What I will do is have exhibitions of other sports/games at various points and see peoples reactions
I'm in ironically considering Australian Rules as an exhibition
As well as a /tv/ v /monster/ basketball game (/tv/ because having Dunkacino there amuses me)
As far as switching up the sport, Divegrass has the best option in terms of moddabillity and rule universality. I can think of no other sport that has been modded to the extent where custom models are not only possible, but have actually been used before. Though this is a moot point, since we don't have the manpower for that level of modding. Most other sports would also either kill interest on the production or the viewer side.
If a better idea is thrown out, I would be willing to back it, but any choice needs to actually be moddable to the point where every board can have a fair representation, and be able to support the interest of everyone involved for the duration of the event.
In terms of the 'dead board' debate, I would say that to a certain extent, dead boards are an inevitability. As we saw this cup, we can expect fewer viewers for most of the cup than there are boards that are actually competing. The main problem with including dead boards is that you are kicking out boards that actually have people using them.
We did a good job alleviating that by adding in /pol/ and /v/ to the roster this time around, but more of the larger boards need to get involved before we can be 'all inclusive' and not leave anyone out, so most people actually have a board to support.
I would be interested in bringing back live commentary as well, what we have now is a shallow imitation. The lack of anyone speaking during the match means that we are filling the air with goal horns and anthems ad nausiem. That practice is grating for fans of the teams, and ear torture for people that cannot stand other teams. Using live commentary would minimize the use of goal horns, and make them have a larger impact when they are playing.
The only problem with live commentary is that we don't exactly have a large pool of vocal talent, but I would be willing to get the ball rolling if fucking no one else is willing to stand up to the plate.
Regardless, I think we need AT LEAST six or seven months to cool down and get whatever we are doing next set up WELL, with clear and reliable board representatives and head riggers.
The way I'm doing baby cup will deal with the dead board issue
With Live Commentary, someone said auditions which is a good idea but as I said keep the text up for updates and shit
And once I set up my internet and shit I'll make a thread asking for teams as well as check sportschan and hispachan since despite not being 8chan they're still 8chan cup
As well as seeing if other major boards want teams
And Oxford next cup will be in July or August after the 2nd mania season
Been following this icup over the last months and while i forget my tripcode I’d like to give my 2 cents in if need be.
I’m very happy that people still enjoy the old footage of icup 1 even though icup 2 was a total disaster. The reason why icup 2 failed was mostly due to me going through some really touch life issues at the time that led me to sell my rig. I honestly cant believe it’s been over 3 years since then and that two more cups happened so for that reason I’m super thankful for the passion that’s kept this cup going. So while I have my opinions, which I hopefully can share to help the next iterations succeed, I hope the current anons leading 8cup know that i appreciate what they do!
When I helped the original organizer, reluctant saviour, make icup happen back in the summer of 2015 my original intent was to create a 4chan cup-styled event to celebrate 8chan culture but to be primarily focused on having fun and to remove the issues events like 4cc had with manager autism and needless drama overtaking just having a good time and not giving a shit about results at the end of the day. So basically “for the lulz” instead of being “srs bznz.” While my technical knowledge was and still is nowhere near the level of 4cc I still wanted to try to the best extent possible to make a fun stream that’d play on the autistic elements and the awesome elements 8chan possesses and put more focus into having a good time rather then stressing over manager shit and having super top notch aesthetics n shiet. However, there is a minimum in terms of kits and stadiums that would be cool that we were working on to make icup 2 amazing that never got fulfilled which makes me sad (along with promotional material I made that is either lost or buried in my hard drive) so for any future competitions while before I’d say blenders aren’t super important for players I’d say kits, stadiums and maybe custom UI would be worth looking into if you want to keep going with PES.
Although in my opinion I’d rather the future not just stay a copy of 4cc and hopefully find a different way to do a board wide team game simulator event. I’ve tried in the past to see if hockey could be done but it never worked out as past games like NHL07 are very limited when it comes to custom teams although I’m not sure about the newer games as I don’t buy EA games anymore (because they’re shit). So personally I think the best option would be to take a bit of time to research alternatives and if anything look promising I’d pitch it to active users and see if the interest is there. If not keep going with PES but even if it’s a 1 man job just take as much time as needed to have kits and some stadiums ready for the next 8cup along with some promo material and live commentary because quite frankly the .png commentary felt cold for the type of game PES is.
But yeah these are just my opinions. While I’d like to hopefully try and help out again when I’m done school that’s a very big maybe because as it is I don’t work a Monday to Friday job so unless that happens I don’t see myself streaming again. I’d still be down to try and produce some promo material for 8cup 5 provided tournament specific media (cup logo and team logo pics plus available footage as .mp4 files are available) if you’d like me to but I won’t be available to do that until May at the earliest. So yeah, best of luck with future tourneys!
Thanks also yeah I definatly know what its like for life to fuck over the cup
If you need to contact me my email is email@example.com
But yeah basically I know what went wrong in the cup and what went right, the next one should be solid
I'm not 100% on switching sports just yet. I'm open to the idea, but I'd need someone to actually put up a game that's somewhat easily modded. Until then, I'd stick with PES, especially because we have a stable resource pool, what with the kits, and the torrent+save that's now on the wiki.
As for boards, boards that are totally dead do not deserve to be in, small community boards are a different story. That's all I'll say before we beat this topic to death. Live commentary is a must going forward, that's all I'll say on that as well.
As for what Cotton is talking about, I completely agree with avoiding tryharding and turning this into srs bznz and borderline board wars tier drama. At the same time though, we need more people to actually solidly commit to get more done. If we get an anon or two per board to at least take care of putting their respective team together it will allow us to do so much more with things.
Let's keep things cool for now. Let's not consider doing this for at least 6-8 months. Maybe even consider waiting to do a 2020 Winter Cup. It really depends on how many people we can get on board.
I'm not holding a main cup in this period again since it overlaps with 8chanmania, only a baby cup
I'm going to keep chugging away at the wiki. I'm almost done all of the stats tracking for the Cup. From there it will be updating the individual team pages and putting together modding/assembly guides.
Cool, once I get internet in this new place I'll help and I'm going to try and make a Dan Murphy as a test for the faces
Can Seiga Kaku be /animu/'s announcer next cup?
Also, switch to our secondary blue kit as the main kit next cup.
Unless you can get the actual Seiga to commentate then unfortunately not since the next cup is live commentated
The kit change is no biggie though
Also keep in mind were trying modding this time so if you can send something it'd be great (you don't need to though)
Try asking /cuckquean/ to make a team, I wanna see what happens.
>next cup is live commentated
Who will be commentating and what is their commentating like? We have to make sure it's not a repeat of the icup where they're not boring and end up just blogging about unrelated bullshit in the middle of things instead of actually raising enthusiasm and banter.
Hi I'm from /brit/, we really want to be a part of this but we're not really sure what to do, mind giving me a quick rundown? We have a decent amount of people on the board.
maybe really is an overstatement smh but it's a cool idea
>There was some good discussion in the thread on /v/ before it slid off, luckily I've saved caps and the archive (though archive appears to be down at the moment). We were in the midst of discussing:
Doing G-D's work here, mate
Since half the posts in those screencaps were made by me, let me interject by stating that I may have found some workaround for the whole "Grand Strategy Game" kind of competition that was suggested by the previous hosts: basically, by using one of those ID maps and a random number generator, we could get around the limitations of shitty games like HOI4 by giving randomized provinces/countries to various boards, making it so that the game remains somewhat of a challenge and people holding any major powers won't be curbstomping everyone else.
With that out of the way,
I think we need to go in one of two directions, instead of limiting the cups: either we go much, much bigger, maybe even with a different title, with some bombastic tournament that people will just HAVE to watch to avoid missing out on fun stuff, or we can go the other way around and just make a smaller, comfier, 8 major boards tournament, just to get big boards to participate again, and only afterwards we could go ahead and add smaller bite-sized teams.
To get more anons involved we need to find games that allow for modding tools that are very easy to work with. Fire Pro Wrestling works great, because all anons have to do is use the very elaborate built in editor to their heart's content. Because of that, a game that allows facescans or Soul Calibur would be a good candidate. Generally speaking, it's better to make just one really good character than having a dozen nameless, faceless drones with names that may or may not refer to board memes.
I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, live commentaries are the life blood of good spectator's sports, on the other it's really hard to do LIVE + with people inexperienced or uninterested in the sportsball in question + having to also host the cup itself. We could solve this in three different ways:
1) Record the matches at an earlier time, add voice commentary in post with another anon or two, add some sound effects and music to match and then just stream the video file (or set it to stream or whatever). This could prove helpful for hosts that don't really have the whole day to set up the game, allows for a much easier time for the shiest or less versed commentators and overall keeps things cleaner. Obvious drawback is that it becomes much less sincere and the chat will just watch from the sidelines, while part of the fun comes from shitposting with the host and participating somewhat;
2) Use a sport that has a slower pace, so that the text box and lore parts can be enjoyed more, just like in 8chanmania. To do so though would also mean that most team based sportsball that aren't shit like Amefuto will just be cut short;
3) Abandon the idea of live commentating in the first place and just have a soundpool at the ready to play sound effects and music related to the match, may help make things at least more entertaining while keeping the interactivity intact, one such effects was the Jackie Chan Tulpa's ladder shower effect.
>A racing sim that has interesting tracks with mixed straight-away and turns and modifiable cars (decals & stats) would provide a good viewing experience; Nascar wouldn't especially. Sounds EXTREMELY promising. Also good analysis on the speed part.

As much as I hate the commies, yeah, it doesn't make sense to exclude them because "muh politics" or "muh outsiders". Every sportsball needs a Heel, after all, some teams are fueled entirely by fan hatred.
>Also for 8chan cup 5 at least I'm not changing sports
Will you consider looking into older PES titles or other soccer titles, too?
>Though this is a moot point, since we don't have the manpower for that level of modding. Most other sports would also either kill interest on the production or the viewer side.
You just need to spoonfeed people, fam

Also, on that note, given that national boards like /ita/ exist, it would only be reasonable to add more boards whose nations really like sportsball, like /brit/ or those polish ones.
If you make a good export, it should give you some headstart (faces, kits, roster etc.)
wewlad can you post the ausneets, genesis, todd, and unna kits in the Vola? I need the numbers and name files as well
>Every sportsball needs a Heel
You say this but there were effectively 3 heels in the top 8 last time
Will do once I get them all done, also side note, can someone do a /just/ logo in the style of Amazons, since Jeff Bezos is head JUSTman now
I have the /unna/ first, /genesis/ first and GK and the /todd/ first **While its GK is on the page
I may retool /ausneets/ or at least its GK Kit
And the NK /unna/ kit will be in, in a bit
I've been plugging away slowly, figuring out how to convert stadiums and adboards. Here's a few pictures of the progress.
Cotton, is there any way to get in touch with you?
Hey for any of you still here, It's probably obvious but I'm not sure if I'd be able to handle this cup
If we are to go ahead with a 5th cup I guess best course of action is find a new host who would host it July or August in 2020 with a baby cup if possible in Jan 2020
The Beniseum should be Closed, since /b/ and all
thank fuck TNA, I thought 5 would never happen
THE INFINITY CUP IS COMING BACK
8chan's premiere (and only) divegrass-centric, interboard tournament is returning for its 5th appearance! The 2019 Summer Infinity Cup is kicking off with a reveal stream on Saturday June 22nd at 3 PM Eastern, 7 PM UTC on cytu.be/r/8cup
This stream will serve as a preview for the Cup, and begin the lead up to the official kickoff in early August. So what do you have to look forward to?
>Polished team graphics, with cleaned-up kits and logos
>Individual, customized stadiums for each team to play in
>8chan Cup specific graphics and in-game presentation
>A non-diverse, 100% red anon crowd in-game
>All part of 8 days of 32 teams playing a combined 64 matches to claim 8chan divegrass supremacy
Boards can begin submitting their entries immediately after the reveal stream ends and entries close in mid to late July (official date TBD). In order for a board's entry to be considered valid, the entry must include a team logo, a roster, and a team kit set. The Cup is limited to 32 teams so if more than 32 boards enter, some will be excluded from the tournament based on both past participation and board activity. The full list of rules for the competition can be found at: http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Rules

Oi, if you're the aussie from last time, gimme channel admin permissions on the 8cup channel, I'm gonna need it to stream
here's an improved /unna/ for ya
<imagine allowing leftypol
Pathetic, helicopter for you cucks.
Im going to refer to my post back on /co/.
This really is the summer of divegrass. Looking forward to the ICUP returning!
>Site wide event not allowing certain boards in because of their ideology, even if said ideology is trash
Fuck off faggot.
Why not crush the cucks at divegrass instead?
>i dont want this group of people because they think different
i dont want /fur/ and i dont want /co/
>not remembering when /leftypol/ blew off the championship and told everyone to fuck off
>not remembering when they told the organizers to fuck off last year
>not remembering when they tried to derail a couple matches
>not remembering the cheating incident
<being this new
Anon just because you're an obnoxious faggot that got banned by both places doesn't mean they shouldn't compete.
/strek/ here. I have some questions:
How do we update our shoutwiki pages?
Is it necessary to make an account there?
Where do we submit our entries?
Where's the uniform template?
Do we submit our uniform and logo here or on the shoutwiki?
Can each of our players have simple custom skins? If so where's the template? And can something like say a static tail mesh be added?
>How do we update our shoutwiki pages?
>Is it necessary to make an account there?
yes, just use a throwaway mail
>Where's the uniform template?
On the wiki, I think it's not linked anywhere but it's in the recent changes anyhow
I remember them deleting the thread on /leftypol/ last year, but if they're willing to join and not stir shit up then they should be tolerated, even if everyone wants them to fuck off.
>How do we update our shoutwiki pages?
Just make an account on the site and go to town.
>Is it necessary to make an account there?
I've tried to make each page at least require an account to edit that way someone can't just shit up pages, and it allows an admin to wipe an individual's changes, when they have an account.
>Where do we submit our entries?
There will be a thread up on /8cup/. You use the thread on your board to discuss the potential changes amongst your fellow anons.
>Where's the uniform template?
>Do we submit our uniform and logo here or on the shoutwiki?
I'll likely be taking the official entries through either a thread on here, or an email address I'll set up.
>Can each of our players have simple custom skins? If so where's the template? And can something like say a static tail mesh be added?
If you know Blender, you should be able to edit, but the problem is I actually don't know Blender. That being said, cuckchan has done the legwork for plenty of these cups before. If you go to their wiki and look for model editing for PES 16, you can find tutorials. PES 16 applies to PES 17 because the files structures are the same, and the game is practically a reskin.
You've advertized on my board but I'm not interested.
t. top 10 board BO
Why not, I mean there is a /b/ team from last season, and hell I can help rustle your team together and do logos and shit if you don't want to
Eh they had their time in the sinbin, they're let in this time to get fucked up
>This is the kit /b2/ is probably going with for their away kit
How many teams have been invited thus far? Invite /cuckquean/ to see what happens.
I believe its an open invite
I worked on the first two iterations of the 8ch cup ICUP back then I did stats and commentary. Seeing as how commentary is in the back burner I could do stat tracking for this cup. I do work in radio IRL, not sports radio, but radio nonetheless
Also, do we have an idea of what boards will be competing/how can one recommend or sponsor a board? I'd like to take over /b/ and organize that I organized /b/ in the past to make sure they are in with an updated roster and what not.
>commentary is on the backburner
Nononono, it most certainly isn't. I'm looking for for people to help out with that because I absolutely do not want it to come down to me being a commentator on top of everything else. Drop me a line.
I'm actually shocked they're receptive to it, considering they deleted my thread there.
Good to know, should I send you a vocaroo or something like that? Also, is the /b2/ roster supposed to be a different team from /b/?
/b/ in and of itself is dead, so it's really a question of does /b2/ want to adopt /b/'s history and take it from there or do they want to be an entirely separate club altogether?
/b2/ is indeed going with a completely different roster and honestly you should leave /b/ in since it'd make a good rivalry match
The issue with the bloated thread you did is it scares people, I just made a funny bee logo and let things go from there
If no one claims /b/ they won't be in. And I suppose what you said about the thread is right. WORDS WORDS WORDS is tough right off the hop.
Also sure, send a vocaroo.
someone can claim more than 1 board right?
else we're not going to have 32 teams
I'm hoping each board will have one person step up. That's the goal, at least.
Since I had from last cup about 6 teams that I rustled together so I guess I'd be the manager for them
Though if anyone wants to manage /bane/ and /just/ let me know
Again, that's only if we get to that point, I'm prepared to do it though. I petitioned every board that's ever participated in the Cup (aside from the actual dead and gone ones) which puts us close to 60 in total, plus any others that might want to join. I know there's some bigger boards that never participated that might be interested.
>pedoshit when it's banned on b2
>I'm actually shocked they're receptive to it, considering they deleted my thread there.
I think there might be a reason why.
Could someone make an extension that scans youtube subscriptions and auto searches and subs on bitchute?
It would make the migration easier.
>no one claims /b/
I'll claim /b/ then, I've managed their roster before, I don't really browse /b/ that often anymore and didn't know what happened to it as was detailed in this post >>3070
I'll see if I can find my mic just moved so shit is still in boxes
>/b/ and /b2/ tentatively in
This is gonna be interesting.
As someone who doesn't browse /b/, I can't say definitively, but I think the BO and his crew of mods were fucking up the board, management-wise. I don't know how you fuck up overseeing /b/, but that's apparently what happened.
>reddit chan tries to make their own cup
>It's absolute dogshit
Color me surprised. Into the trash it goes, 4chan cup is the only good memeball
>As someone who doesn't browse /b/, I can't say definitively, but I think the BO and his crew of mods were fucking up the board, management-wise. I don't know how you fuck up overseeing /b/, but that's apparently what happened.
They went batshit insane and deleted fucking everything while labeling everyone as pedos.
/tg/ here tentatively reserving our spot. We have new kits, goals and players and so on. We'll give more detail once we see the exhibition match. We are cautiously excited for this.

quick question regarding the mega archive here: https://mega.nz/#F!1wMyxJhS!AR7ZNuQAyYN5NATPtYTVkw
Will the cpks used in PES 2016 work in the 2017 version? This archive contains player faces, kits, stadiums and banners which are all custom, could be useful for boards like /b/ which lost all that stuff in the previous cup or for boards who might want to re-use some stuff.
Also, have the rules been updated? The rules state there is only 1 gold and 1 silver player, however, I'm checking the save file posted on the wiki and all teams have 2 golden players and 2 silver players…
im pretty sure the most resent ruleset was 2 gold 2 silver 2 bronz
Oh okay, the ruleset in the wiki states that the roster only has 4 medals. 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze. Is there anything else in the ruleset that has been changed?
Also, why have so many medals on the field? There is little reason to have subs if the medals aren't supposed to be subbed out.
you can see the rules for the last cup here
the change to have more medals was just to make the matches more active and exciting i think
i do sort of agree about the subs thing but without managers it hardly matters anyway
alright, thanks. The height rules don't match the rule page on the wiki either. Will update the squad again I guess, I'm working on /b/ btw.
>all this activity while wageslaving
I'll answer everything in order
The .cpks can be used for 17. As far as I can tell, the editors can open them, so worse comes to worst, the values for the file can just be copied over one by one.
The rules have been updated to 1-1-2 on medals. None of the current rosters have been updated since the last Cup, which ran 2-2-2 rules, as pointed out here >>3101 . The whole point was indeed to facilitate subs happening more often, because I was hoping that, even if we can't get enough managers, a sort of guide can be given by the boards to at least let teams have strategy for this Cup, which includes a substitution strategy.
The height rules don't match because they're updated as well.
oh, sorry to misinform >>3102
/bmn/ here, grabbing a spot. Pretty damn excited for another round of dive grass, working on roster changes currently.
Oh fuck, so I actually did it right the first time, guess I'll go update the squad again kek.
Well, I'm doing the squad for /b/, if the cpks can be used then that means less work for you and other boards that want to reuse stuff. Can you check if the banners and kits are working? Thats the only thing I'd be interested in re-using for /b/.
Are there any other requirements for a board to join other than the logo, roster and kit? I'd love to see /y2k/ enter but it might be too slow a board for it to get all the shit together.
The deadlines for entry are here >>3090 . The link to the rules explains what's needed from you at both deadlines.
The kits and cpks definitely work. I'll have them in-game for the stream on Saturday. As for the banners, they're all still the same size so I can just add them to the set I have for the Cup.
Nice, if it works that would mean /b/ is finished since we are re-using the kits. How/where do I upload the updated roster? I used the save editor outlined in: http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Save_Editors
Its up to date with the rules stated in the wiki as well. Checking my folder structure, I have pic related. I'm guessing the bak files are everytime I've saved, so the most recent one should be the final roster. I used the EDIT save file that was in the wiki.
You can actually export the team using the save editor as well. I haven't got to that point in the guide yet, but it's possible by navigating to your team in "Clubs" when the editor is on "Players". When you're on your squad, click Export, then Export Players from Team. You can post that file here https://volafile.org/r/q1ruaat4
Have you found your mic?

Thanks for clearing that up. Well, if you see anything wrong I'll make sure to update it, otherwise /b/ should be ready to rumble considering we're re-using kits, players, logo and perhaps the stadium unless we already have one assigned.
found the mic, can't find the fucking usb cable to connect it to the computer
Alright I'll work on grafting it to the 8cup5 Save File.
That's unfortunate, hopefully you can dig it out in time
Brilliant thanks pal
The wiki states that we'll be able to turn in a strategy sheet the day before the match but it does not detail precisely what we are allowed to do or not do. Could you elaborate on that?
I'll only implement the daily strategy sheets if we get enough anons willing to step up and actually bear the responsibility of being a manager. If not, I'll just have the boards assemble the general sub strategies and operate off of those.
/animu/ will enter and reuse the same team. Just have the uniform be our blue kit instead of the pink one this time.
I just hope the dominoes logo is still intact.
Just a warning that the cup has gone from 2 gold 2 silver and 2 bronze to 1 gold 1 silver and 2 bronze
finally finished the rankings
Okay, here's the team shift.
>GK - Genzo Wakabayashi
>LB - Cel Animation
>CB - Patlabor AV-98 Alphonse
>RB - Minamoto no Raikou
>DMF - Jack the Ripper
>LMF - Number Girl
>RMF - Sheffield (Bronze)
>AMF - Hatsune Miku (Gold) (Captain)
>LWF - Rape Man (Bronze)
>RWF - Daicon IV Girl (Silver)
>CF - Kamina
>/b2 board owner deleted the infinity cup thread
Post proofs please.
Good stream anon, things looking pretty spiffy. Thank you for your hard work.
It doesn't let you embed Twitch VODs for some reason, so for those who missed it.
/sw/ here to reserve our spot. We've been updating our page and the thread the 8cup rep posted on our board. Do have to post what we've shared there here or is updating our wiki page good enough?
For the sake of keeping a paper trail, post your updated roster, logo and kits here. Even just cross-board linking the changes to this thread works.
We still haven't decided on our kits. But in case we don't have one by the deadline, can the ones from the first time we competed be used again?
For heights are we allowed to mix them up a little like take a few cm from one and add it to another or do we have to use the set ones given?
C O N D U C T O R W E H A V E A P R O B L E M
Does someone have a rehost of the 2018 pes editor that's not full of aids?
/animu/'s team roster updated.
Reserving a spot for /y2k/, we're working on the stuff needed for the deadline now.
Follow the heights as listed. If I allowed for variance, I'd be wasting a lot of time doing basic addition.
Added to the bottom of this page http://infinitycup.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Save_Editors
Ok cool thanks. Was just curious because none of the other teams seem to be doing this.
Heights and player cards aren't due til August. The idea is to give you guys time to play around in PES and find a strategy/build you want to use, so no rush with this.
Alright. Also in terms of player appearance
(the face) how does that work? Is there a certain format you want and what about things like collar type etc? New team here so that's why i've got all these questions.
If I don't change the lineup or the costumes before the deadline just use what's already in the thread.
After revisions >>3154 /animu/ is ready to go.
Alright, so I could for example state in the strategy sheet that I want so and so subbed in the 65th minute?
Also, why wasn't /b/'s updated roster and kits used against /liberty/? I turned everything in time.
"This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it or their revolutionary right to dismember it or overthrow it.”
― Abraham Lincoln, POTUS #16
The save file I used was the one from the prior Cup. I didn't enter anything new in on that one because I wanted a fresh save to work with for the new Cup. I've put /b/ in on the new save.
You'll have to look up a Blender tutorial if you want to change faces. In terms of kit collars and that stuff, I'm working on the tutorials for those file makers at the moment. Check back on the wiki in a day or two or three maybe
Reposting what I had already written over there…
Alrighty, lad, got all sorted out, hear me out on the roster, though I'll more than likely also update the wiki with the correct positions and whatnot. I've attached a file that includes everything that I'd like to add to the team, in the correct order - did so because I am sure I caused lots of painful re-editing last year and I don't really wanna make you guys go through with it again.
The substitution are ordered like that because I am not sure whether you're going to use the 5 max subs that PES defaults to or let the whole roster on the bench, so just to avoid any unnecessary restarts at match time I included those that absolutely MUST go on the bench.
As far as positions go, do not worry too much about the exact location of each player, as long as they're in the right position (i.e. the CMF is considered as such and not some other position like AMF) I'm alright. Formation should be a modified 5-4-1 anyhow. If you know how to do the whole export thing tell me tho so I or some other autist anon with loads of spare time can do it ourselves.

For the record, the xlsx file and the tactics picture share the same info, I just thought of giving you a spreadsheet so that when you gotta copy shit in the game you'll have an easier time comparing stats and whatnot. I also highlighted stuff like heights and medals so you can double check that we are a legal team.
>I'm also hoping to possibly introduce managers for the Cup, although I'm still working out the details to keep this from devolving into a namefag dick measuring contest.
Wish I could live manage but I am in the unfortunate position of not being an amerifat && needing to work most of Summer. If any other Lupo/anon's up for it though ask them away, I have full confidence in their skills. But yeah the tripfagging is super gay so just letting the AI choose is much better overall - I just do it here so that other anons know whom to curse at when we lose.
Any tips for blender and whatnot? I'd really like it if we could get at least the medal players with some sort of edited face.
And these are the jerseys
I don't see what's so soccer about this but ok
I figured out how to make this thread work
Whens the next preview stream?
I'll probably host one after the rosters are submitted, but before the group stage draw.
/Tech/ here, keep our old shit again
I'm not the host but it's been a few cups since you guys have been in and two changes in admin, so I'm pretty sure he doesn't have the files, the logo is on the wiki but I'm not sure about the kit, also this cup is 1g/1s/2b compared to the last cup /tech/ was in being a 2g/2s cup
/tv/'s stuff is still okay
Finally got around to dealing with this team again. Lineups are pretty much the same, but adding a pic of it just in case. Also added Roddenberry and Berman to the subs just so we could have the right amount of people (didn't have enough canonical Weyoun clones to spare).
Also made the third kit. Chose the classic TOS era command gold(ish) since that was the easiest for me to make (I did think of maybe ENT's uniform but that's a bit more effort and I am shit at this anyway).
Everything else should be the same. I'll update if there are any changes or if I need to add/subtract anything. Updated out wiki page with the roster changes as well.
(pics are, in order, 1. main kit 2. secondary kit 3. third kit 4. updated lineup)
/v/ is ready. New roster, New goal horn and New kit.
Updated new Away Kit for /v/.
Tweaked the Goal Keeper Kit and updated the Home Kit. These are the kits that will be used for /v/'s team.
>>>/sw/ here again
Here's our logo and kits for now. Might change before the week is over if we can come up with something else.
Our new team, their lineups as well as our new team music tracks are listed on our wiki page:
But these may change before our week is up, but if we don't submit anything new, take it as is.
I want to wish you all a safe and happy 8cup.
<The Cup is limited to 32 teams
How close are we to that limit? I'm tentatively counting 22 teams ITT: /animu/, /ausneets/, /b/, /b2/, /bane/, /bmn/, /brit/, /christian/, /genesis/, /ita/, /just/, /pol/, /strek/, /sw/, /tech/, /tg/, /todd/, /tv/, /u/, /unna/, /v/, /y2k/. But I don't know which of those have valid aesthetics and if any teams have signed up outside this thread.
Asking for a friend who may want to get /rule34/ ready in a couple of days.
Strange, I have 22 teams on my list, but they're not the same. Here's the teams I don't have:
Only because I haven't actually heard word from them. I know there's a post saying they'd be willing to manage, but they also still need to submit another kit.
Have heard literally nothing from them. If there are posts or a thread you can point me to, please do.
Dead board, haven't heard from anyone either.
Pretty much word for word what I said about /bane/
There's a couple of anon's who've piped up but they've just listed off names. If they run out of time, I'll throw their old roster in there.
Tell your friend to get /rule34/ together regardless. There's gonna be room and I want to fill it with as few dead boards as possible.
/y2k/ is coming along, sorry to leave things a bit late but we're getting there. Should have the other kits and gk ready in the next couple of days.
