Hello, this thread is for any suggestions or complaints about the moderation. You can also use this as a way to contact the moderation rather than posting elsewhere in the board and simply hoping I will see it.

We do not have an official Discord or IRC, but any user can feel free to make one and post its link.

Christian Zionism is the most contradicting/heretical viewpoint we see on a large scale today. If the claim states that jews do not need christ and that jews are gods chosen people how does this fit unquestionably into notable christian dialouge? Is this subversion of our faith or a massive misunderstanding by good intending christians? This question has truly baffled me.

Hey TOM, if you're here I'd like to know whether you're still a Mormon. I argued with you quite a few times in the past at /christian/ as an atheist, but eventually gave up on the board and on 8chan.

But I saved some of the material I had coalesced when writing to you on another website, which another Mormon apologist stumbled onto. He ended up reading a bunch of other sites too, and in trying to refute them became an atheist. So I'm wondering if you're still part of the theist belief system. Video sorta related:

The NASB is from the Vatican manuscripts that lack the entire book of revelation, so they borrow it from the majority greek texts. - http://www.harpercollinschristian.com/zondervan/

Largest english Bible printer exclusive printer for the #1 NIV Bible

owned by harper collins - used by "gay" churches

what else the Harper Collins company prints

Yet they "claim" they do not hate it, just that there are "better" new Bibles out there.these people are often satanists who wish to discredit King James believers and Gail Riplinger's work or they work for the publishers. There are actually paid trolls who get $$$ to get you to believe the copyrighted Bibles are better so you buy the new Bibles.

I really wanted to be KJV-Only, but this interview demolished the integrity of that position for me. Turns out, there is no perfect translation because there is not a one-to-one lexical and conceptual mapping between languages.

 No.18788

KJV is beautiful from an English language perspective, and my favorite to quote from. However I admit to being a Bible pleb and not understanding a whole lot while I'm reading.

Example:

>reading Judges

Wait…. So… The Benjaminites were engaging in gross murderous behavior so everyone gets together and decimates them. …but then they decide they can't just go ahead and do that, so… They kidnap unsuspecting women from another tribe to go wife up with the cowards who fled and lived?

See I get to that kind of a situation and I want to know some context, because I feel like I'm missing something important. Catholic study bibles are monstrously huge with footnotes filling in little tidbits about that stuff. But argh. They aren't always… shall we say erudite, to be polite? And in recent years, lily-livered about gays and women.

An Ortho deacon pointed me toward an old, old printing of the RSV, which is pretty great. But its fragile, and hard to bring along and read casually.

What do??

 No.19045

>>18788

Read the KJV and listen to preaching to get context. There are lots of good sermons on Judges 19 and 20. Basically, Benjamin was wicked and out of control so the rest of Israel had to bring them in line because they wouldn’t repent. But after Benjamin was defeated, Israel didn’t want to exterminate one of its tribes entirely. Make sense?

 No.19337

KJV is very important, what are your thoughts on NKJV? It is good to get an understanding of how to properly understand KJV style writing and modernizes the text for you zoomers out there.

So…

You speak of the bible and Christian things here, in a serious way ???

That is … unexpected.

Well, I would like to ask seriously (it's not a joke or something ironic)

Why do you believe in God? Why do you participate in these types of activities?

At first I knew how to participate in things related to Christianity but I never felt that I really should do it, or be part of the whole thing.

 No.18715

>>18714

I cannot provide absolute proof that God exists, for if I could, there would be no need for faith; however, I can demonstrate that if God does not exist, absolutely nothing can be known.

In order for me to be able to know something in an atheistic worldview, I must observe it empirically. Empirical observation requires causal connections to exist; I will use eyesight as an example. For my observations to be meaningful in any way, I must assume that the light entering my eyes has a direct relation to the images my brain produces. But how do I know these connections exist? I cannot observe them, because to do so would be circular reasoning. I would be saying "Causal connections exist, therefore causal connections exist." If God does not exist, I cannot know anything. Therefore, since such a reality would be completely lacking in any meaning (not only would I not have a purpose, I would not even know whether my actions have consequences), I choose to believe the alternative. God revealed that causal connections exist when he spoke the universe into existence. A universe where God exists is the only universe where anything has meaning or coherence.

 No.18716

>>18715

> I cannot provide absolute proof that God exists…

i can

the Scripture argues that both the existence of the Universe and the conscience testify to the reality of God, and thus no-one has an excuse for unbelief, or for rejecting His claim to Lordship over one's life

 No.18718

>>18716

I agree. When I said "I cannot provide absolute proof," I was referring to empirical evidence or the scientific method, since that is the standard atheists generally hold to. God's revelation does prove He exists, but that type of proof is easy for people to delude themselves out of noticing.

 No.18720

>>18718

there's a bit of me that wants to dig my heels in and argue that the scientific method demonstrates from observations of the universe that it is most definitely created, but that's because i'm an obstinate trol str8 outta bantown; and it seems we're on the same page when it comes to man's suppressing the truth in unrighteousness, so i'm gonna step off bro

I was raised in church, went edgy atheist, aged and got wiser and questioned the nihlistic properties of a godless moraless life. Had major internal strife and depression from the outside world. Prayed to god briefly, gave up, hit my lowest of lows went to jail was facing some bad shit and in the midst of this i felt a peace i had never known. By instinct i knew it was the spirit of god. Got out of jail shortly thereafter dusted myself off. Started reading the bible with a burning passion I never had before, turned my life around completly. Got a good job reconnected with my family got out of the self defeating cycle. Learned to love hard work and to fear god, got wise, regret none of it. I became a man because of this.

Those who actually care about the younger generations (or even think about anyone but themselves) are slowly beginning to figure out the disconnect with their views and the real world.

>It's so hard to find anyone else at church who understands.

At this point it's chiefly generational imo. Once the older ones die off or retire and the next generations take over that will slowly change. In the meantime likely it's only the young and young at heart that can really connect with with ppl who grew up with the Internet. Given that /christian/ is simply uncapable of having a proper discussion on this, I have decided to ask here:

Do you see them as a problem?

Is it a mental illness?

Is it learned behaviour?

If it's sinful, why doesn't Jesus ever talk on the issue?

Is it actually a sin, or is it a sin only because sex outside of marriage is sin, and two men can't get married?

Is it possible for two homosexuals to have real love between them instead of pure lust? If so, is that love valuable?

What is the line that shouldn't be crossed? Hugs? Kisses? Anal sex?

What should be done with them? Execution? Banishment? Rehabilitation?

I want this to be a theory/discussion thread about homosexuals and on how they can be saved. Not interested in the andersonites and their kys advice.

What the fuck is going on in this fagloving thread!?

>Do you see them as a problem?

They wouldn't be a problem if they kept themselves inside their closet. Now they got out, they seek to convince others that they are good people all while bugchasing. Further more, these people can perfectly reproduce, but cannot, because they do not want to, not because of infertility or something else. They seek nothing but fap, and contributes to legit nothing to civilization others than working, then die of AIDS prematurely.

>Is it a mental illness?

I ain't a psych but when i hear a faggot saying AIDS/HIV is a gift, then i would confidently say that it is one dreadful disorder.

>Is it learned behaviour?

See that little "+" on the top bar of your web browser? Click on it. If you haven't set anything, it should create a page with the words "About:Blank" on the address bar. It sounds silly to compare a newborn child with a new web page, but the concept is the same: That just born baby is BLANK. He's not fag/dyke/trans/whatever. And yes, not even straight. These things are learned from society as the child grows up.

>If it's sinful, why doesn't Jesus ever talk on the issue?

Haven't read that passage yet, i'm slowly progressing.

>Is it actually a sin, or is it a sin only because sex outside of marriage is sin, and two men can't get married?

It is a sin of the same caliber than bestiality due to the fact that it increases disease rate, which will eventually lead to death. Sex is for the pair-bonding to ultimately create LIFE. Bugchasing faggots spread DEATH instead, using, and perverting the primary vector for human life, and that deserve gulag-tier treatment.

>Is it possible for two homosexuals to have real love between them instead of pure lust? If so, is that love valuable?

Honestly cannot give my worthless opinion on that due to the fact that i am an outcast virgin which is why i ended up in chans in the first place.

its a real chemical imbalance in the brain, an identification with the mother/ feminine image in the masculine psyche. It's unconscious meaning it's entirely out of the control of the individual to prefer men (unless they're bi). I'd say it's ok given the increase in our population. Early 2nd cent Christians:

2 Clement 16.1– 4

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have received no small opportunity to repent, while we have time, let us turn to the God who has called us— that is, while we still have one who receives us. 2For if we renounce these pleasures and conquer our soul by refusing to do its evil desires, we will share in the mercy of Jesus. 3But you know that “the day” of judgment is already coming like a “blazing oven,” and “some of the heavens will be melted,” and the whole earth will be like lead being melted in a fire, and then both the hidden and public works of people will become visible. 4Therefore, merciful practice (ἐλεημοσύνη) is good as repentance for sin. Fasting is better than prayer, but merciful practice (ἐλεημοσύνη) is better than both, and “love covers a multitude of sins.” Prayer from a good conscience delivers from death. Blessed is everyone who is found full of these things, for merciful practice (ἐλεημοσύνη) lightens the burden of sin.

Archeologists: Sodom and Gomorrah literally destroyed by fire and brimstone falling from the sky

>A group of archeologists and other scientists say they have discovered strong evidence that the region of the “Middle Ghor,” where the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah are believed to have existed, were in fact destroyed by a meteor that exploded in the sky above, raining down superheated matter and raising temperatures to thousands of degrees, a theory that matches the account of the cities’ destruction contained in the Old Testament Book of Genesis.

>According to the theory, the meteor exploded at low altitude with the force of a ten megaton atomic bomb at an altitude of about one kilometer over the northeast corner of the Dead Sea, and obliterated all of civilization in the 25-kilometer-wide circular plain that constitutes the “Middle Ghor.”

>The researchers presented preliminary findings on the subject at this year’s annual meeting of the American Schools of Oriental Research in November, and have been developing the theory since at least 2015. They state that the evidence from radiocarbon dating indicates that a group of civilizations flourished in the area for over two millennia, until approximately 1700 BC, when the mud-brick walls of the buildings in the region simultaneously disappeared and only the stone foundations remained.

>At the same time, the pottery in the settlements was heated into glass in the space of milliseconds, according to the results of an analysis of the Zircon crystals formed in the process, indicating that they were briefly exposed to temperatures of approximately 4000 to 12000 degrees Celsius, comparable to the temperature of the surface of the sun.

>The explosion rained down platinum as well as molten lava on the region, according to two of the archeologists, and this further confirms that a meteor was the source, given that platinum is found in higher concentrations in meteors than on earth.

>Approximately 40,000 to 60,000 people living in the region were killed, and a 5Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

Okay, I'll ask. Why are you here if you have such contempt for the Lord and His followers? Are you looking for some flicker of hope that there is meaning in the world, or are you just an atheist missionary here to try and pull as many of us down as you can? Because if that's the case, it's not going to work. I'm sorry for whatever makes you angry at God, but trolling here isn't going to change anything.

This. Noah's flood for example, also caused by a meteor which was the major catalyst that ended the last great ice age, IIRC.

Blessed are those who believe and have not seen

I believe Christ said those words because those who believe in Christ with blind faith and without the arduous duty of finding God are indeed truly blessed. They didnt have to struggle with the worlds lies. They were handed the truth and immediately accepted it not knoeing sny better but got the answer right. They all but won the lottery as if they had given the same vlind faith ti other things it wouldve been harder for Christ to save them
