>We've been somewhat quiet this year. A peek at our change log page however reveals that despite our laziness with writing news posts, we haven't been just idling; we've released 11 updates this year. These updates have focused more on improving and optimizing the game engine, balance, and our existing content rather than pumping out new maps and missions. We are, however, also working on new playable content that we hope to release with an update closer to Christmas. But let's first go over the most important changes in our smaller updates this year. We'll only cover the most significant changes. For smaller changes you can check out the full change log.
>The Sea Shadow and Soviet Ekranoplan weapons were reworked. The Sea Shadow now has a cluster missile that splits early, while the Soviet Ekranoplan is no longer an aicraft carrier but only fires missiles instead. The Behemoth was found somewhat too game-deciding, so its rate of fire was lowered while the spread of its flames was increased. This makes it more of an option to dodge its projectiles and avoid the damage with fast units, while it still deals a lot of damage when it hits, with the flames further increasing the damage through their damage-over-time effect. We also made its elite weapon more interesting with chemical flames.
>In the original game's multiplayer, the map was always revealed when you died. This was bad for co-op missions as the reveal could spoil missions, and it also made it possible to spoil team-based PvP matches like 2v2s and 3v3s, as one dead player could tell their teammate about the other team's forces. Now the map is only revealed in FFA games and regular (non-mission) co-op games.

Starcraft is probably the best variation of a a remaster out there despite the fact that they attempted to change the story to fit SC2 better
suffice to say now that we know that they're going to openRA for advice we can pretty much confirm that the remaster is going to be shit
Warcraft 3 reforged has decided that wow lore is more important than making an accurate remaster and is raping the old game to death
This combined with diablo impotent makes me think blizzard is trying to suicide themselves, although they probably wont die due to still having loyal blizzdrones who will ea the shit off the ground
also its now impossible to buy WC3 unless you buy the reforged edition, meaning you have to wait until warcraft 3 reforged comes out before you can buy the old game
This is pretty much the same thing that happened to NWN, which is holding the old game hostage unless they buy the new "improved" version
They say that the maps are supposed to be compatible with the old ones, however i have my doubts, as they specifically say "unless its too customized"

the trouble with "fixings" things like resolution is the fact that alot of the older games were designed around the limitations at the time so if you change even the littlest thing. the whole game will feel absolutely wrong.

To make money you need to capture village huts and supply piles, which constantly generate money (both sides have another way of making money, but its slower and more expensive than capturing the money-making buildings)
By damaging/destroying them you lose reputation which gives less income from the village huts, but that only seems to affect human players, since AI really likes to destroy these buildings and seems to have infinite money
I feel like ZH mod devs could really make a new and interesting RTS IP. Only fags that seem to know what they are doing.

I made a statement a few years back that most mods for Command and Conquer are restored content mods. In Generals case there was so much stuff in game files to work with you could create several drastically new games out of it.
I feel that a Pentagon Wars themed game where you work hard trying to get the sheep specs right for a project that is a complete shitshow start to finish would be kind of fun.

The thing is the Gemini in reality is still the best T3 Fighter when it comes to dogfights since it uses missiles instead of guns. I've lost count of the number of battles I've been able to force Coronas into close range fights that they've lost due to being unable to withstand constant missile volleys. You can have more DPS but that means nothing really if you can't hit as often as the other guy.

like a half life 2 mod where you have to throw shit together into a machine and hope it works and pumps out a part to fit into the project point. that actually sounds really fun. trash drops around a map and you have to collect it while stopping the other team from collecting. the map could also have points that drop a completed part but hauling it takes time.

oh god and like once you complete your project. you have to drive it into the other sides base and then blow it up.

If you get them in large enough swarms, projectiles missing is less of a problem which can give the corona an advantage
Still i usually mix my coronas with restorers and a few spy planes (if fighting cybran), as restorers are a really good anti-air gunship, especially for defence
I mean coronas do have their place when engaging enemy bombers and gunships, but the restorers higher attack range and damage makes it especially good at getting in the first shot during air engagements, which can be pretty vital when facing shitty bombing runs

You can only build in an area surrounding your own, allied or captured tech buildings and as a plus you are not limited to building one building at a time (after a couple of seconds of delay after placing a building you can already build another)

It gets a plus for having the Generals campaign (with minor changes, but have not played further than the first mission of each campaign) and being able to build the modded units but most of the models were just awful to looks at not to mention that fucking UI makes me want to choke the person who though this was a-ok (and this is coming from someone who played russian Stalker mods)

I think that is the problem with most modern RTS games to be honest. Something news comes out. It's okayish, not great, so we all end up going back to playing the games we were playing before.
the genre is pretty much tripe A proof then because of that. unless something either:

it doesn't gain traction and thus can't be turned into trash without consequences.

I forgot to add that the AI seems to be severely brain damaged even on medium difficulty
The GLA AI doesnt know what a palace is,GLA Demolitions doesnt even know what defenses are, USA Air Force doesnt know how to even build a war factory/airfield in most cases and chink AI rarely know how to build its hacking centre and fill it up with hackers etc.
The only real challenging fights were against the new Militia faction, USA Laser and against the Boss General

the war3 remaster is confirmed to have re-writes and campaign changes for WoW players and retcons that ahve occured.
Its fragile as shit and can be destroyed by a volley of rockets from a rocket buggy, but as a plus it has a secondary mode where it can target incoming missles

I think contra had some ok models, but most of them killed my framerate

which was why you would have to build it close to their base for it to actually work
First time i used it was on a small map and ended up taking out almost everyone's bases at once
If you think thats bad then play Armageddon - The Final Hour
That one has a nuke that will ruin the entire map even if its a large 8-player map
I don't really have the will to play Sudden Strike 3 at the moment. I think I'll talk about Spacecom instead, it doesn't look very complicated.

It is pretty bland. It could be fun to play in some serious multiplayer, but it has no soul and I doubt anybody would be arsed to learn how to play the game to play it seriously enough.

the lead art designer for one, he wanted to make it more in line with wows art and so now they all look fucking retarded i fucking hate those huge ass pauldrons
They also changed the map layouts in the campaign, to make them match up with wow map as well as Arthas getting a new vocie actors
Not to mention the golden cunt decided they needed to make the female character more pronounced in the campaign, despite sylvanus taking up half the frozen thrones undead campaign and jaina getting that dlc where she murders her father
shes also planning on making it more wow 'friendly' so except shitty changes that no one asked for
