When was the last time you properly read a book? Readkngs for school don't count.

Shit. Good question. Does properly mean finish? The last book I finished was… fuck, I'm not sure.

The Koran - in Arabic

douglass jackson rome series, 10/10 historically based fiction

ludwig von mises human action, 10/10 non fiction

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Back in 09-10 I read all of the Darren Shan books published. Literally all of them. Shit was cash.

I'm trying to finish Tom Clancy's Debt of Honor for 4 months now but I've been very busy lately with work and other shit. I just quit my job though and have a couple weeks before I start my new one so I'll curl and up enjoy it.

I finished "Forgotten Ally: China's World War II" about a month ago.

>mfw half the people online haven't read a book since high school, while the other half circlejerks over how libraries and physical books are the best thing ever and anyone who says anything critical of them is literally Hitler

Ive read 7 books since new years… its not a feat, i just got nothing else to do.

Last week. Schrodinger's Kittens. Very gud. Would recommend

>5.85 days per book

you're right, it isn't a feat

Ah yes. A fantastic book that shows how communism could only work in a community of gods.

I'm currently reading

>pic related

because the movie inspired me.

how does this make you feel?

Do you have the whole series?

The movie was very moving to me.

for the past few years I've actually been reading for pleasure. got into it through horror books like it and the exorcist, and now I'm reading more fantasy like spiderwick and alice's adventures in wonderland. re-reading the harry potter series too. it's a bit hard to get used to but once you do it's actually really fun and rewarding.

>re-reading the harry potter series too

I tried this, but just couldn't after gay Dumbledore, black Hermione and wizards shitting where they stand and using magic to teleport the shit away

It develops the imagination, not very good for science majors though.

look, it sucks that you paid 120 grand for a useless degree and are now working at Starbucks, but don't take it out on us smart people

lol yeah I just ignore all the lore that was developed after the series was written. I feel if you want to do world building you should actually write a book that expands on it rather than just name modifications that'll get you brownie points with millennial. then again I'm kinda glad it's like this because it leaves my precious wizard series sjw-free

PhD…I run Starbucks Inc.

ok pal. good luck with your presidential campaign

Currently reading American Psycho. Also read Lovecraft before sleep most nights

PhD…I'm retired already, but thanks for the vote. Monica Lewinsky is my maid.

wait the movie is out?

>Readkngs for school don't count.

Unironically never then.

have you considered kys?

Not really, no. Why?

i started reading what turned out to be some feel-good novel my friend lent me but i couldn't cram it down my throat. it was dripping off the pages. there are so many worthless books out there

you sound like a waste of space

You sound like a faggot.

i am haha !!!!

Doesn't look like there's anything worth reading, anyway. Pretty tacky tho.

Today, during my lunch.

I'm reading about a dozen books right now. I'll name two that I don't feel betray my inner workings too heavily.

Jesus And Bhudda - The Parallel Sayings

The Holy Bible (NLT)

>Pretty tacky tho.

The answer to that question, every time, is this

It gave him bad fee fees, fee fees of shame, jealousy, or anger, so instead of addressing his own fees he tries to blame the center of his attention when the fees were experienced for the fees.

Usually men or women who have not done a lot of heavy philosophical reading *smug* behave this way.

Or it could have just been a playful and friendly joke and they don't actually believe your shit is tacky at all.

t. autism

I read all the time. I have a Kindle Paperwhite and have thousands of books on it. I enjoy reading very much. It makes me sad whenever someone pulls a "lol tl;dr" over just a couple of paragraphs, like they're proud of their inability to read.

It's just not very aesthetically pleasing. It looks cluttered. Also, using books for stools is a great way to make yourself look like a philistine.

Rereading Metaphysics again right now and continuing to laugh at communists.

if light novels count I have probably read a few.

Some of my favourites are mushoku tensei, forgotten conqueror, tate no yuusha

>if light novels count

they don't

I have the first series and last order. i don't have the more recent martian adventures

I finished American Psycho a few days ago. The movie did not do it justice, although Christian bale did a magnificent job acting it. Loved it from cover to cover, the descriptions are so visceral I felt like I was there, and the end left me almost feeling hollow.. The world it describes makes me want to have lived then and not in this piss ocean we call existence now.

I've been reading books for years now; I'm currently reading Curtius' History of Alexander.

I could never get past the first chapter. Tried more than once. I normally love Clancy, but the beginning is so boring I could never slog through it to get to the supposedly good part.

Came out in Europe already. Doesn't come out in the US until Friday.

Alita Battle Angel 2019 NOLOGO 720p HDCAM 1XBET mp4

HDCam is all right now, can't wait to see this Manga in 1080p.

MANGA: Battle Angel Alita-Rusty Angel RustyAngel

1-10, extra pages

About a year ago. I recorded some audiobooks

What's with the Babko resurgence all of a sudden?

I started prince of thorns but got bored

me too. the world is really interesting, but the characters suck so much that I just couldn't keep going

Like it would be unstable as furniture and impractical as book storage, and whoever owns it is one of those “I leave books out everywhere so people think I am smart” types.

I recently started Don Quixote. Going to be a while before I finish it, never knew it was so long before I got it.

I always assumed the windmill thing was going to be towards the end, a major part of the story, since that is all anyone ever talks about, but it is just a minor thing near the beginning.

Is she making a movie?

Im about to start reading The devil's advocate by Morris West

I've been reading entry level big brain stuff lately. Dante's Inferno, Nietzschie, Kant. I've been enjoying them very much tbh. I can't really stand novels though, I play vidya for things like that. When it comes down to it, Dark Souls and Deus Ex and MGS are better at storytelling than 99% of books but of course there are good ones still

Do you recommend it? The title sounds interesting

Y u need a book for such an obvious thing as Jesus being very similar to a bhudist

Try again newfriend. Nothing wrong or edgy with stoicism or learning about statecraft.

With a beard like that, you look like an angry Muslim.

Meditations is more Reddit than neckbeard tbh

There was more going on there than just the Communist shit. Communism may not be cool, but that book was. As is most of Heinlein's work.
