Where do you find new games to play?
All I can find searching is the most entry-level normalfag garbage top 10 lists and things of that caliber.
did you make this thread just to post that .gif?
Nah I actually had to dig a bit in my eternally "unsorted" folder to find something fitting
It really is grand though
I know this one serbian dude who has pretty similar tastes to mine, and it helps me check out some new vidya
He's also made videogames on his own, and as corny as it sounds, honestly I'm proud of him
Multiplayer? It really is hard to find something that isn't trash.
Single player? You must be stupid.
mostly just stick to my usual tags on steam. what ever sounds appealing. usually if it says 'stealth' I stay away (rare cases though), I see 'grand strategy', 'rts', 'political simulator', etc I click "wishlist"
>Where do you find new games to play?
I try and play things that are 3 years behind so I get things cheap and the consensus is fairly well formed on what is worth playing. In hindsight, 7 years behind would have covered it.
And besides that, people on youtube and here on/v/
Spent well over a decade lurking imageboards, so I've already got a pretty solid backlog of stuff other anons have talked about over the years and seemed of interest. Don't have much trust for other sites and their tastes at this point. Though of the last few years, I've been second guessing my own taste too.
At least post the original, if you want to look cool.
I don't, I play the popular shit, and have a massive backlog/infinite replayability value from what I have
The games I really do want to play usually find me. WW3 is a neat little game I've been hearing things about, for example, it's in (((Early Access))), but it has potential to be a battlefield killer
I mostly wait for someone else to gush about something, then i go off to play it. In years long past i'd actually go to a used video game store and browse their stock; i never would have played Shining Force EXA if i didn't see it there one day.
I browse skidrowreloaded since they offer a better "new releases" list than steam's actual new releases. Any game that has a half decent cover art I look more into it and if it looks good enough I give it a shot. Otherwise any game that looks like it plays good from any video I happen across is usually enough to spark my interest in trying out a game.
Reminder to pirate before buying because this strategy is pretty flawed.
Ironically, here. I get a bunch of recommendations and a bunch of threads are made on things. Someone makes a stealth thread and then a bunch of games I haven't seen or heard of are posted, as an example.
i just go on pirate sites and scroll through the game lists they have or just check 3dshooter/3dadventure legends.
Alternativley i check out some .jp sites for freeware
> when the flour gets replaced by cocaine
maybe its my autism but I always manage to find some new or old subject that I will obsess over for a while until I lose interest
maybe Im in a shmup phase so I will look up the well known titles and then dive for niche shit and Gidden Hems™, even if I havent started playing all that much yet, I just enjoy going down rabbit holes and seeing whats at the bottom it seems
The warmgames thread has been fun, now Im just downloading VASSAL modules of any tabletop wargame that catches my eye
some time ago it was HoMM clones, tactics games, Dungeon Crawlers, autistic strategy games, you name it, Im honestly surprised anyone has trouble finding games to play, Im such a digital hoarder bitch I have loads upon loads of games to play and Im still downlaoding stuff
now the trouble comes with decision fatigue and actually choosing and sticking to one game once you stop yourself for two secs
For new games, I check sites that list ALL game releases and then just sift through the last few months, picking anything that looks interesting. For older games, I just keep an eye out for whenever something interesting gets mentioned here.
>someone is acting differently
>DUDE DRUGS LMAO
I go to mobygames and click the random button until I find something that looks cool or start contemplating suicide from all the match three games I get.
>coke makes you giggly
What does coke even do? everyone around here just uses heroin or sniffs glue
It turns you into dubsman.
Imagine redbull, but if it actually gave you wings.
Go look on Playism, Itch.io or GameJolt and start looking through games and you'll find something good pretty quickly I'm sure
Also Niche Gamer has a lot of spotlights on interesting indie games shown through their spotlight and announcements
>TORpedo OP makes shit thread
>out's himself 3rd post in
is this a real game someone has made or is it just animations and after effects?
it looks sorta real with the shadows of the enemy on the map and the kick from the shotgun, all the hud elements are fake
Imagine what skooma does to you in morrowind but in real life, that's why they don't want people to have it. You go too fast and fuck shit up
Where can i get it?
Flips your mood to an extreme, makes you lose your mind and your heart rate goes through the fucking roof leading to you believing you're sonic or some shit.
Most of the time I find them on forums or a youtuber reviews it. Something along the lines of that
Like some other anon said I usually come across new games by browsing various pirate sites, it's a total crapshoot though. Most of the shit is early access or eroge/RPG maker games but occasionally you find something enjoyable like tower of time, not that far in but its promising so far
i just play mods of older games like eDuke or opexcom.
It's just GMOD with some overlays added
I don't even play video games anymore.

You sure about that?
The Portal cursor was a dead giveaway!

Moot looks pretty cute in a suit
emptyhero occasionally streams some bizarre shit I've never even heard of, so he's good for that at least.
Mio is a Nitori knockoff.
I love you, but at the same time I hate you, yet I accept you anon, you are one of us and that is why I love you, always march forward don't look back
holy mother of dubs
Damn it oh well. 11,000 posts away until the big
16000000 GET? Probably will happen within a couple of months.
This is the greatest webm I've seen so far this year.

I believe this is the original.
Who does yuuko rip off?
Certainly doesn't help in cases like that, where from what I've seen, the older classic-era fans consider the then-newer titles a betrayal due to genre/gameplay shift, and will staunchly decry them. And that's not getting started on "professional" reviewers.
Speaking of EXA though, I've got that backlogged myself. Are Tears and NEO worth adding to it as well?
Steam free games - otherwise sticking with pre-2008 games.
